To you
Who are
The longing of my heart
Who are the rhythm of my days
Who pulls and pushes me
Through desperation
Whom I don’t know
But vaguely feel
At the root
of my mind.

Calling you
By a name just a name
Seems childish
Yet childlike we are
Children of your creation
Wandering
Trying to recognize
You
In your world
In the bright faces of sun and moon
In the vastness of heaven
And in the abundance of earth
Do we search
Countless ways
Have you created
Countless children

I want to worship!
You
In the first light of dawn

in the beauty of a blooming mountain meadow at noon

in the stillness of a forest at dusk

in the darkness of midnight

I am looking up at the stars
Knowing
You are
but
Beyond my understanding

Who I am
